I have a black and white shot of this bookshop with the door open for business taken about twelve months previously. As I strolled past this particular morning George the owner hadn''t opened up and I was struck by the wonderful colour of the door. Shortly afterwards George appeared and informed me that he''d secured a grant to do the place up, so sadly this beautifully battered edifice will be history pretty soon.

I was driving back from Laugharne and as I descended into the seaside village of Amroth I saw this scene across the water at Tenby. I screeched to a halt, jumped out and set the tripod and camera up in a flash, just managing to snatch this before the moment was lost. It has a certain monochromatic feel broken up by the soft pastel colours of the houses.
